Amelia Island is one of the few remaining untouched island paradises in North America. It belongs to the string of Atlantic coast barrier islands that extend from North Carolina to Florida. It has a very colorful history, and is widely recognized for its superb beaches, fishing, boating, fantastic amenities and stunning sunrise and sunsets.

How to get there

Amelia Island can be reached by air through the Jacksonville International Airport. The Island is about 30 minutes drive away from the airport. Rental cars are freely available at when you reach the airport. If you prefer to drive, use Exit 129 off Interstate 95. Follow the signs east for 15 minutes to get to Fernandina Beach.
